Rockin Green Cloth Diaper Detergent Review and Giveaway (Ends 4/30 US and Canada) #happybirthdayJR

While planning this Birthday event for JR, I was so happy when Rockin Green agreed to sponsor and review and giveaway!

We have been using Rockin' Green Cloth Diaper Detergent for about 9 months. I loved it so, so much for all of our laundry and not just diapers.

A little about Rockin' Green (from their website)

Rockin’ Green is an award-winning manufacturer of eco-friendly cleaning products designed to make cleaning easier and greener. Most well-known for their clean-rinsing laundry detergent formulated for use on all fabrics and especially useful on cloth diapers, Rockin’ Green produces detergents for hard, soft and normal water conditions (known as Hard, Soft and Classic Rock varieties).

Rockin’ Green also carries Funk Rock, a first-of-its kind natural ammonia bouncer, and Melody, an odor-neutralizer and air freshener home spray. With the exception of Funk Rock, all products come in seven natural scents, such as Mighty Mighty Marshmallow, Earth Wind & Orchids, Rage Against the Raspberry, and Bare Naked Babies (unscented).

Rockin’ Green was founded in 2009 by Kim Webb, an avid cloth diapering mom who desired a better way to clean cloth diapers and treat her kid’s sensitive skin.

They recently also released a detergent for pet toys and beds, as well as a Femme Rock that is made to clean reusable feminine products (mama cloth).

My Review

I was sent 3 sample size packets of Rockin Green Hard Rock in Lavender Mint Revival for my review.

As I said before, we've been using Rockin Green for about 9 months, since we started using cloth! I also used it on my husband's military cammies with great success. It was the first time in a long time that I felt that his nasty work clothes were actually getting clean.

Our main reason for using Rockin Green was for cloth diapers, and up until recently, I loved it. I still love it, just not for my diapers anymore. I never had stink or build up issues, and I think I've stripped my diapers twice in the 9 months we've been using cloth, but lately, I noticed JR kept getting rashes that wouldn't go away. No rash cream would take it away, but using disposables did, so that led me to think that maybe he's a little sensitive to the detergent. So I tried another detergent and the rash is gone. So as sad as I am about it, we will no longer be using Rockin Green for our diapers.

But that doesn't mean I'll be boycotting them any time soon. Rockin Green is a wonderful company, and even though the detergent doesn't work for our diapers, I will continue to use it for my bed sheets, my husband's work clothes and towels. It really does a phenomenal job of getting things clean, and with our hard water, that is no easy feat.

While Rockin Green may no longer work for us in the diaper department, it may work wonderfully for you. I'm in no way trying to bad mouth them, because I honestly love their products, and I wish that the detergent wasn't causing a rash for JR, but it is what it is. I still love their other products, and their detergent for other items.

That and their stuff smells AMAZING! I love it!
